Kripke Speaks! Season 6 Spoilers (1 reply)

For the first time since S5 ended, I actually have hope about S6. EW just posted this interview with EK regarding S6 and why he stepped down. It contains some major (YES, they're considered major around here!!!) spoilers so I'm putting discussion of the article in the spoiler forum.

I admit from the time I read the description of S6, I became even more leary. "Demons and angels roaming the earth..." yadda yadda... I know that Supernatural angels were generally the bad guys, but with the apocalypse over, why is it supposedly a BAD thing that angels walk among us??? The apocalypse is over. IMO, everything and every character (yes, I mean what that sounds like) related to it should be gone too. We had demons before that whole mess, so having Crowley back is fine. Looks like they do plan to clear up Bobby's "deal", so that's one less plot hole. The rest can go.

If they plan to start turning MoW episodes into a full-blown arc, I think that would be AWESOME! I'd love to see Lenore come back as a result of that. And Kripke WILL be writing AND directing!!! [048] [071]

Finally some real hope for a decent S6 after 2 disappointing seasons that left me not wanting to watch again. [030]

Not sure yet how I feel about the return of Grandpa Campell. Love the actor, but "what's dead should stay dead".

On an side note: the Ausiello "spoiler" about Lisa and Ben was a JOKE. Geez people are gullible. [001] Everything else Ausiello revealed, we already knew at the end of S5. Yeah, Dean's with Lisa, yeah there will be angst when he has to leave people he cared about enough to want to make sure they were safe if the apocalypse happened. That's kind of a given.

Problems?

I say in class that I don’t trust people and they wonder why.

But I know why.

You’re always yelling at me, saying I don’t do things.

Its true, I don’t do much.

Why should I though?

I don’t get anything in return.

Oh sure, I get food, clothes when I bitch that I don’t have any for days, weeks on end and a place to sleep.

But the law says you have to give me those things.

How about a little incentive for doing things?

Maybe an allowance?

A decent vehicle to drive if I get my license?

A “job well done“?

I love you?

A hug of all things?

You ask what’s wrong with me.

I don’t trust you enough to tell you.

You have no more ethos with me.

You seriously need to learn how to give some affection.

At school, some of my friends run to me and give me hugs when they see me.

Its just something I did in a few minutes. I ran it through spell check but I don't think I got everything right. Oh well.

Hey people!

So I wanted to ask you guys did you like the last episode?
Cause I loved it, it was wonderful!

I liked how it was so Bobby centered- Jim gave a great performance. And I was happily suprised to see how important Bobby really was in the end, I think he deserves the recognition, after all, he is family. And definitely one more bump in the road for the demons and Lucifer, he he.

And how amazing was he in that wheelchair? He actually was killing off zombies, heck he even got more zombies than Dean, wow! Go Bobby[083]

Also a very touching episode- too bad that Bobby's wife couldn't stick around, she was such a nice woman. And she understood Bobby and even the boys, she could have been a real help to them.

Okay when I have free time I love to write. I'm always writing about something. I kinda wanna have a book published and I might get its published by Penguin Group. (They are the second largest book publishing company) I have my friends read my stories, but they read so much of my stories they know what i'm doing. *sighs* I write all kinds of stories. Anything you can think of I might have done. I would like other people's opinion. People that don't know my writings or how I write. So when I saw this thread I was so on it. (Thanks Mattie :) ) I write short stories and long ones. I going to start with a short one just to see if you all like it. So please PLEASE tell the truth. Good movie if you like remakes. Basic storyline form Lon Chaney Jr original. But good basic story...strong acting with Benico Del Toro..and evil Anthony Hopkins is always worth the watch. IF you are looking for new and diffferent, probably not your flilck But good basic flawed and fatal plot that could be no other way...Worth the time and money...

[00c]If I could sum up this movie in two words..."disturbingly brilliant."

The story is that a U.S. marshal (Teddy) and his new partner (Chuck) are called to investigate the disappearance of a patient in a hospital for the criminally insane. The place is on an island and it's an extremely reinforced and guarded. The fact that someone could disappear seems impossible. The two find themselves on this small island filled with dangerous murderers and start to wonder if there is something more going on.

I was really expecting it to be a scary movie...the kind where things jump out and make you scream. That's what the commercials make it look like, but in reality it is more of a psychological thriller/mystery with with a few jumpy parts, and even a bit of humor. While it wasn't that "pee your pants" type of film I was expecting, the intensity was never lacking and there was an eerie feel to the whole thing. The simple but powerful music that was used and how it was filmed kinda made me think of Hitchcock's Psycho in a way.

The plot is really quite stunning. It’s unpredictable and weird and full of twists and turns. This is not the type of movie you watch and then continue on with your day without giving it much more thought. After watching it, I felt that I needed a minute to just sit there and process what I’d just experienced. It actually felt as though my brain had melted by the end. [004]

DiCaprio (Teddy) really did an amazing job with this as well. His character is extremely complicated and conveys a multitude of emotions and I don’t think it could have been done better. Really, all of the acting is very well done.

I have yet to read the book, but a friend told me it’s very good and the movie follows it well.

If you have not seen it, then I highly suggest you don’t hear the ending beforehand, because it will ruin the whole experience.

Freshman Hit “The Vampire Diaries,” “Gossip Girl,” “90210,” “Supernatural” and “America’s Next Top Model” To Return Next Season

The CW Network has given early pickups to five series for next season, including four signature dramas and the reality hit AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL.

All five shows will return in Fall 2010.

The series receiving early renewals include this season’s breakout hit THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, The CW’s most-watched show (4.6 million viewers) and the network’s number one show among adults 18-34 (2.5/8). premiere generated the largest audience in network history for a series debut (5.7 million total viewers). THE VAMPIRES DIARIES has improved The CW’s performance Thursday at 8:00 p.m. by 114% among women 18-34 this season.

The network also renewed fan favorite SUPERNATURAL, which will enter its sixth season next year. SUPERNATURAL has one of the most loyal audiences of any show on television and does heroic work in a perennially tough time period. It has improved over last season among women and adults 18-34 (29% and 8%, respectively) this season, a remarkable accomplishment for a fifth-year show.

Also given early pickups for next season are The CW’s Monday night sensation GOSSIP GIRL,which is The CW’s number one show among its target demographic of women 18-34, and Tuesday’s trend-setting drama, 90210, which sees some of TV’s largest percent increases from DVR playback, nearly doubling its women 18-34 live-only ratings once live+7 data is included.

Wednesday anchor AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL will also be back for cycles 15 and 16 with superstar Tyra Banks and new groups of aspiring models. AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL continues to rank second in the competitive Wednesday 8:00 p.m. hour among young women 18-34 (3.4/10).

CW renews 'Supernatural,' 'Vampire Diaries,' 3 others. Will Kripke be back?

The CW network has given early renewals to 5 of its series: "Supernatural," "Vampire Diaries," "Gossip Girl," "90210" and "America's Next Top Model."

UPDATE: When I asked a CW representative whether creator/executive producer Eric Kripke would return for "Supernatural's" sixth season, I got a three-word reply: "Yes, he's back."

Remember when Kripke said he had a five-year plan for the show? However, as he said last summer at Comic-Con, Kripke has re-thought that plan and has stated various times in the last year or so that he could see how the Winchesters' story might last longer than five years.

So, my fellow "Supernatural" fans, the Winchester chronicles will get a Season 666. Wait, I meant Season 6 -- my fingers slipped on the keyboard. Or maybe the Devil made me do it?

Not on the CW's early-pickup list: "Melrose Place" or "Smallville." But there is a chance those shows, especially "Smallville," could get renewals later in the season (things aren't looking quite as good for "Melrose" but you never know). IGN'S Eric Goldman recently talked to CW president Dawn Ostroff and it looks like a "Smallville" renewal is likely.

Also, the CW's "Life Unexpected" isn't on this list but I very much hope it gets a second season. It's a sweet show that you may really enjoy if you liked "Gilmore Girls."

I've seen this little gem twice..it has something for everyone if you like Sherlockian mysteries. It had a great sense of humor and lots of plot twists and "scenarios" that only Holmes could figure out. With Jude Law as Watson and Robert Downey Jr as Holmes how can you lose? I have decided to make this thread because I think Jensen Ackles deserves some serious threads here on these boards as well. I know there are some even now but having watched Jimmy Kimmel's interview with Jensen, which was in my opinion quite "unlucky" (*), I have finally decided to take courage and try to make a serious thread about Jensen Ackles.

I am not saying I have never written anything about Jensen being hot, sexy, great-looking and so on. I am an ordinary woman and I sometimes love and need to talk about good-looking men. Please, try to avoid these topics in this thread:

1) Appreciating any of Jensen Ackles' body parts --> There are other threads here for this. And remember, reducing a very talented actor to his body parts is not polite. I know most of us do it just for fun but yet, it is quite rude, and the more considering how shy Jensen Ackles seems to be. Try not to make him feel uncomfortable!

2) Using words like hot/smoking/sexy/yummy and alike --> Jensen Ackles is a very good-looking man but is it really the thing we admire most about him? Try to imagine any of his roles with his good looks but WITHOUT his talent. Would they be so amazing then?

3) Using "guttery" language --> If you feel like making a "guttery" comment, feel free to visit the Looking Into the Sun Thread.

(*) --> Was it really necessary for Mr Kimmel to keep talking about Jensen's appearance and rabid fans although it was quite obvious that Jensen felt really uncomfortable about it and wanted to talk more about his work than about his girlfriend? Why did we not see any Supernatural clips? No Ten Inch Hero clips, news or questions? Though I was really pleased to see Jensen in a talk show and realize again how intelligent, kind, funny, nice and laid-back he seems to be.

Idea 4: (from sntiger): I had a thought, what about something like passing the .... torch, so to speak. The person starting would have an item, possibly a scrapbook or journal of somekind. They would travel to a new town or state near them and visit someplace SN worthy and then pass the book to a new SN fan. This would hopefully work it's way across the states and hopefully end up back at the starting point with all of the places logged with info and pics. We could also keep track of the book online and that would be a good way to find the next fan. Once it goes full circle we could send it to Kripke to share with the guys and everyone. He might even get a few ideas! Just a thought.

So, yeah, what do you think? Could I get enough people into the idea so that I could quit my job and travel the country for a little while? Would you be willing to a. put a stranger up for the night? b. donate money to the cause? c. show me some cool sights to share with other fans? Could you actually do these things? Do you have ideas to make it more interesting, questions, comments, concerns, etc... *bounces* Looking for feedback, peeps! [004] [100]

Jamie in Rochester, N.Y.: This is a Supernatural question. I'm a Sam girl, and I was wondering if you had any scoop about him?
Even though Sam is supposed to be on the wagon with his powers, we will see him use them again before the end of Supernatural season five. (Dean's not gonna be happy about that!) In other Supernatural news, we'll be meeting another horseman of the apocalypse (Famine, this time, rather than War), and the Prophet Chuck will definitely be back, although probably not in the company of his Supernatural-fangirl girlfriend.

Last night I was tired and couldn't sleep and I wanted to do something. So, I started writing a story, its about this 15 year old girl named Kayden. She, her Dad, and James Bond recall that summer she turned 15 and had an adventure.

The summer I turned 15 was the most hectic, scary, best summer in my life, it was also the summer I got a second chance at life. So, let me tell you about it.

My name is Kayden, I'm 15 and a good athlete. I live in Kentucky with my Dad and Grandma on 4 acres of land. I have green eyes, dark brown hair, almost black, and a deep tan. Also I have a real good friend, his name is Ty and we hangout whenever we get the chance.

*Scene opens up to a beautiful summer day on the last day of 9th grade. Ty and I are walking out of the front doors with other High Schoolers milling out past us.*

Ty looks around and looks back at me. "We're home free Kayden. Anything you want to do today?"
I smile and peel off my approiate school shirt to a tank top. " I think I'll catch a ride home with a senior. I plan on sleepin' all afternoon and kicking your ass in a little game of one-on-one when you come over tonight for supper." Ty loved it when I invited him over to supper, Queenie's fried @#$%& had him begging to come over every Friday night. 'Course, who could blame him with the awesome meals she cooked up.

"Really?"

"Yes. Do you need a ride out to the house?"

"No, Mom wants to get rid of me tonight. I think her and Dad are going to......," he choked on his words. I know how he felt, it was just WRONG to think about parents doing that. I don't care who you are it's just disgusting, even to have a passing thought about it would make anyone gag.

"Its ok dude, I get your drift. Don't worry, I'll keep your mind off that crap."

"Thanks Kayden"

"No porblem"
The ride home was uneventful, rather boring to tell the truth. After more than 10 years of the same route home, kinda just have to space out or I would probably go crazy.

I get out of the car and look around. An old habit ofmine, I always look for things out of place. Not very fond of surprises. Standing my the car, I could hear Dad's music blasting from up at the barn. I smiled, I loved that old man. He was Dad, he was to be loved unconditionally and respected, his word was also law and not to be questioned. It was just that way and I liked it. i thought about my previous plans of taking a nap, and thought the better of it. Helping Dad with whatever he was doing was way better than sleeping for a few hours.

I said bye to the senior that brought me home and walked up to the barn. Looking in the big sliding door that had been opened to let the breeze in, I saw Dad working on his '86 silverado. Iloved truck, but was also scared of it. The Rock, as we called him, had a 350 V8, 4wd, front lock-in hubs, and had an air of danger and awesomeness about. I grinned and turned Dad's music down.

"Hey Dad'

"Hey Kayden"

"What'd ya do to the ol' boy now?"
Dad snickered and grinned,"Played tug-a-war with a F150, poor guy never stood a chance, right now I'm just makin' sure nothin' got torn up. How was your last day of school?"

"It was fun, played some football with the guys, relaxed, watched a movie in one class, and just hungout."

"Thats good...," Dad stopped talking as we heard tires crunch on the gravel.

As we watched the car come into view, I could tell it was a new, grey Aston Martin, and a single driver, male. The obviously had money and connections, but what Dad and I wanted to know was if he would cause us trouble or not. I hated it when people came and caused us trouble.

I kept my face blank and asked Dad," Want me to go stand next to the pistol?"

"No, stay close, be ready to run. I don't think he's here to cause trouble, but you never know," Dad said quietly, carefully keeping his face blank too.

The man got out of his car and put on a friendly face. As he walked up to the barn, it was easy to see he was well muscled, tall, had some damn good looks, and dark hair with a small comma of hair hanging an inch or so down his forehead.

He smiled and said,"Hello, beautiful day isn't it?"

Dad returned the smile without it reaching his eyes, "Yes, very. Do you need something? Are you lost?"
The stranger replied," No, not lost. But I think my gas tank has been sugared. They told me at the little store a mile or so back that there were a couple mechanics living down the road, said you could help me."

Dad tensed slightly and nodded , "Yes, we can help you, but it will cost you some."

"Thats fine, I can pay. By the way, my name is Bond, James Bond." He shook hands with us.

Dad smiled, " I'm Scott, this is my daughter Kayden."

I looked him over carefully," Hey hows it goin'?' I looked over at Dad. "You got this one? Uncle Buck texted me during school, said he needs the dirtbike back for tomorrows race."

Dad nods," Yeah, but I want you there and back. You're going dancing tonight, remember?"

I nod, I had forgotton about dancing at the jamboreeout in town with all the other rednecks. "Don't worry. I'll be back with plenty of time to spare," I say as i walk towards the dirtbike. I sent ty a quick text to tell him I wasn't going to be able to pull him out of this one and to put loads of cotton in his ears. i got on the dirtbike and headed out to uncle Buck's house a mile away through the woods.

*Back with Dad and Bond as he pulls his car in the barn.*

James looks around and sayd, "This is a nice set up you have here. Kayden sure seems to love it here.'
I keep my tone guardedas I say,"Yeah it sure is. She's lived here her whole life, she's unhappy everywhere else. She takes care of the place. Does the yard and field work, chops the wood, keeps my camaro, truck, and her grandma's van in good condition. Hell, she even holds down a part-time job of working on cars here and finds time to work on the mustang sitting back there." I point to my old '64 1/2 mustang sitting, torn down beside the aged tobacco bench.

"Sounds like shes a great kid," Bond says.

"She is, I'd be lost without her," I say getting out some tools I'll need.

*An hour and very little small conversation later.*

I look up from my workbench at James. 'Well, it looks as if you're stuck here for awhile. Atleast until midday tomorrow. Kayden will have to work on this, I don't have enough expirence to work on there newer cars. She should be back by now, she'll have very little time to get ready. You can spend the night here if you like, the couch is comfy and the food is good."

"Thats fine by me, I don't mind at all," James says, smiling.

Dad nods,"Well its time for supper, are you hungry?"

"Yes, I haven't eaten since early this morning," Bond Happily replies.

I look towards the woods, hearing the quiet roar of a 4-wheeler. "I can hear Kayden coming back through the woods."
"Really? I don't hear anything," Bond says, confused slightly.

I smile," You will, come on, she loves it when comeone watched her show off."

As we walked outside, Bond's face shows that he can hear her and all of a sudden Kayden bursts out from the trees. I shake my head, she has so much of me in her, and thankfully the only thing she had from no good mother was her gender. Kayden goes full out across the field, jumps the low part in the fenceline and comes over to us a lot slower than she was going.

When I had seen Dad and Bond watching from the barn, I felt a rush of confidence and the urge to show off. I wasn't able to resist, my egom stupidity, and pride wouldn't ler me. I looked ahead at the fence and found the low part where i used to jump my mountain bike. I steered over to the hill and hoped i had enough weight to stay upright in the air and have a good landing. As I gripped the handle bars harder I got the beginnings of second thought because it was rare I jumped something as big as this 4-wheeler. It did scare me some.
