So I wanted to ask you guys did you like the last episode?
Cause I loved it, it was wonderful!

I liked how it was so Bobby centered- Jim gave a great performance. And I was happily suprised to see how important Bobby really was in the end, I think he deserves the recognition, after all, he is family. And definitely one more bump in the road for the demons and Lucifer, he he.

And how amazing was he in that wheelchair? He actually was killing off zombies, heck he even got more zombies than Dean, wow! Go Bobby[083]


Also a very touching episode- too bad that Bobby's wife couldn't stick around, she was such a nice woman. Freshman Hit “The Vampire Diaries,” “Gossip Girl,” “90210,” “Supernatural” and “America’s Next Top Model” To Return Next Season

The CW Network has given early pickups to five series for next season, including four signature dramas and the reality hit AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL.

All five shows will return in Fall 2010.

The series receiving early renewals include this season’s breakout hit THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, The CW’s most-watched show (4.6 million viewers) and the network’s number one show among adults 18-34 (2.5/8). premiere generated the largest audience in network history for a series debut (5.7 million total viewers). THE VAMPIRES DIARIES has improved The CW’s performance Thursday at 8:00 p.m. by 114% among women 18-34 this season.

The network also renewed fan favorite SUPERNATURAL, which will enter its sixth season next year. SUPERNATURAL has one of the most loyal audiences of any show on television and does heroic work in a perennially tough time period. It has improved over last season among women and adults 18-34 (29% and 8%, respectively) this season, a remarkable accomplishment for a fifth-year show.

Also given early pickups for next season are The CW’s Monday night sensation GOSSIP GIRL,which is The CW’s number one show among its target demographic of women 18-34, and Tuesday’s trend-setting drama, 90210, which sees some of TV’s largest percent increases from DVR playback, nearly doubling its women 18-34 live-only ratings once live+7 data is included.

Wednesday anchor AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL will also be back for cycles 15 and 16 with superstar Tyra Banks and new groups of aspiring models. AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL continues to rank second in the competitive Wednesday 8:00 p.m. hour among young women 18-34 (3.4/10).

CW renews 'Supernatural,' 'Vampire Diaries,' 3 others. Will Kripke be back?

The CW network has given early renewals to 5 of its series: "Supernatural," "Vampire Diaries," "Gossip Girl," "90210" and "America's Next Top Model."



UPDATE: When I asked a CW representative whether creator/executive producer Eric Kripke would return for "Supernatural's" sixth season, I got a three-word reply: "Yes, he's back."

Remember when Kripke said he had a five-year plan for the show? However, as he said last summer at Comic-Con, Kripke has re-thought that plan and has stated various times in the last year or so that he could see how the Winchesters' story might last longer than five years.

So, my fellow "Supernatural" fans, the Winchester chronicles will get a Season 666. Wait, I meant Season 6 -- my fingers slipped on the keyboard. Or maybe the Devil made me do it?

Not on the CW's early-pickup list: "Melrose Place" or "Smallville." But there is a chance those shows, especially "Smallville," could get renewals later in the season (things aren't looking quite as good for "Melrose" but you never know). IGN'S Eric Goldman recently talked to CW president Dawn Ostroff and it looks like a "Smallville" renewal is likely.

Also, the CW's "Life Unexpected" isn't on this list but I very much hope it gets a second season. You know how it goes, life throws you curve balls - yada yada yada...anyway I am back and I see we have much to discuss....

The first three episodes of Season Five - which might I add, I am loving so far....

Episode 5.1 : Sympathy For The Devil
* Briefly, we pick right up where we left off in Season Four. Our boys are standing there, together - Sammy has finally seen the truth of the situation and Dean has killed, with relish. Ruby - and the floor of the old church begins to open. They both know whats happening: Lucifer is about to emerge. Then *ZAP* they are on a plane, God knows where [literally?] and they are spared coming face to face with the Lord of Lies..... They dont know why, they dont know who saved them. They seek out Bobby and then go to their "prophet" Chuck to try and get some answers. There they learn that Cass was blown to Kingdon Come by the archangel - but that revelation is short lived cause Cas appears just in time to whisk the boys away just as Zach is trying to strong arm Dean in to allowing Micheal to use his body as a vessel and so put Lucifer back in hell. And how did Cas survive ? Who put our heroes on the plane?

Lastly...in this episode we finally meet the object of our nightmares, The Devil. But this is not your mama;s red skinned, horned head Lucifer - NO! This is a soft spoken, seemingly caring individual who really just wants what's best for you....or so he makes the man he uses as his meatsuit believe. He is afterall, first and foremost an angel....

Episode 5.2: Good God Y'All

Cas tells the boys he believes God saved them all and decides he must go and find Him - Logical sense Dean has decided not to allow Micheal to take him and use his body to destroy Lucifer, God is the only one who can really take care of the mess -but where to look?. Meanwhile, the boys agree to help an old friend of Bobbys' who in a frantic plea for aide advises the town hes in is overrun with demons. Or is it? Our first glimpse of one of the four horsemen, WAR - he has used his powers to make the townspeople turn on each other thinking they see demons when really its just their neighbors- its a real bloodbath. Happily we do get to see Jo and Ellen again altho they dont seem to stick around for the next couple episodes. And Wars steed? lol a red mustang...I liked that.

Episode 5.3: Free To Be You and Me

Sadness....the boys split up. Sam tells Dean he needs to quit hunting, he's a liability and needs to regroup. Unfortunately, Dean agrees and ends up teaming with Castiel in search of the Archangel [who turns out to be somewhat of a Dick by the way] thinking he knows where God can be found. In the meantime, Sammy tries to blend back in to society, keeping a low profile as a dishwasher for some hole in the wall bar. strangely he keeps having dreams of his old love long dead who tries to convince him he has a destiny he is ignoring. Meanwhile, Dean and his new sidekick trap the Archangel in hopes of discovering the whereabouts of God only to find out that the Archangel, Raphael was apparently a sympathizer with the rogue angels who wanted the apocolypse in the first place. The only revelation he has to offer is that God is dead.

Sammy has his own problems as his old life comes back to haunt him not only by Jessica appearing in his bed, but by hunters who wander in to the bar after talking to Bobby. They out Sammy trying to enlist his help with a demon problem they plan to handle. Sammy refuses offering no real explanation and the hunters leave. However the demon problem they thought they could handle was overwhelming and lives were lost. Taunting the hunters, a captured demon delights in telling them the story of Sam and his "drug addiction". They return to the bar and try and force Sammy in to drinking demon blood so he will "hulk" out and rid them of the black eyed hoarde that gutted their comrade. Its a tense moment as they force demon blood into Sams mouth but he manages not to swallow and eventually escapes.


Whew.... ok so I left out alot of fun details and clever remarks but I think i got the jest of it down. Lets go from here....

we will give it a few days before we get to this latest episode and so far my favorite but until then lets hear what you liked, disliked or any thoughts you may have....for instance...the necklace.

If you read it, according to this reporter both boys hinted to yes...season six. Or did they? I think you could take it that way - I sure would love to think that it is so. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I think this last season has been one of the best - and I am really looking forward to see if Matts predictions for Season Five come true - so right now its hard to imagine what they do with Season Six.
But I am WILLING to give up my Thursdays nights for another year if it means I will be joined by Dean and Sam ! [057]

I think to some extent even then he was being guided by the YED and his minions, feeding his drive to be something other than a hunter - to be something other than part of the Winchester family. Who knows what small influences were exerted on him thruout his childhood to culminate in to that final argument with John where he was told, if you walk out that door, dont ever come back.

And then to hear those words again.....

We saw changes in Sam throut the last 4 years - sometmes he was almost cocky - but still his bond with Dean was strong - until that is Ruby. Ruby worked Sam, feeding his ego(?) that he was better, stronger and smarter than Dean - inserting a splinter into their relationship. That was the challenge - to break their relationship. Afterall, it wasnt that his father had gone missing that made him come back in to the business, it was Dean. Dean who he had looked up to all his life was asking for his help, was admitting he needed Sam. Their relationship was always the greatest weapon working against the evil plan to corrupt Sam. As long as that was in place, their plans were useless. I think Meg was actually their first attempt. He was almost ready to run off with her afterall but his brotherly love for Dean was still strong and she was too sadistic....they had to take a different tact - enter Ruby. Playing on his emotional needs, his synpathies and that ongoing battle within himself that he was more than a hunter...convincing him she was on their - his - side. And the more Dean argued that she wasnt what she seemed the more Sam sided with Ruby.

Whispers in the dark, hallucinations, distorted phone messages - Come on Sam! Deep down you knew Dean would never do or say those things...not ot you! Dean gave his soul for you! He protected you!
But it was too much....and when Sam was close to changing his mind...close to thinking maybe Dean was right, Ruby was there, sowing her seeds of doubt and distrust.

poor Sam.....

Well...there were parts of this I loved and parts I hated. Definitely - the highlight [maybe the highlight of the last four years] for me was Dean bursting thru those doors, Ruby so smugly saying you are too late and Dean [015] saying I dont care then rammin that blade in to her!! And Sam.....holding Ruby finally knowing Dean was right, looking like he was 8 again, searching Deans face for some glimmer of forgiveness.

I am not sure what the clifhanger is here...is it that Lucifer is about to leave hell and reign havoc on Earth or is it waiting to find out if Dean will forgive Sam .... I guess we have to wait and see.

on a side note, Hello? The prophet ordering h[010][010]kers for his last night - very funny.

*sigh* I didnt expect this end.....I dont know, I may need to watch this one again. As it stands, I feel like unsatisfied with how this finale played out. The angels totally sucked and I have been a big fan of Castiel..... Firstly...I guess we should start with what happened to kick this all off : Sam....actually sucking the blood from a demon while Dean watched. If your reaction to this was anywhere near mine, you were left with your mouth hanging open. We knew he was doing it, tasting Rubys blood - using it like some body builder uses steroids - but to do it openly, out of control in front of Dean! I was shocked and then waited for what I was sure was coming next - But Dean was so calm...so hard to read....He didnt blow up at Sam and I wasnt entirely certain why...until they reached Bobbys. Then I knew, Intervention. "Sam Winchester: Portrait of a Demonbloodaholic"

I know addictions so bad things to people, and this was no exception with Sam hallucinating that way -but Sam was so smart....why is he listening to evil? He had to know he was hallucinating...yet he was slowly being convinced by them that he was right and what Bobby and Dean were doing was wrong or that they were doing it out of jealousy or something...

I kept thinking...come on Sam, you are not that far gone....your mother would NEVER talk about Dean that way! and Dean....the one person who has loved and taken care of you since you were a boy...the person who traded his soul for you.....

But Sam fell for it...convincing himself that he and only he alone could stop what was coming - I take that back...that he and Ruby.....Ruby! A demon! Dean was an after thought...not really even important to the equation....and he escapes [sort of.....Angels?? WHAT!??]

But Dean found him.

And thats when my heart broke.

The single tear rolling down Deans face as he realizes he has lost his brother and Sam....trying to choke the life out of the brother he has been devoted to all these years....

OK...I know there were a lot of other relevant parts revelaed here in this episode to the big picture and our storyline [Castiel forcing Deans allegiance then letting Sam out, the "story" Ruby told about Lillith being the first soul, the general swaying of sam to the dark side 0h I have my theories on these things]....but this....this death of their brotherly love....this is what struck me most about the episode.

I feel alittle sick even now just remembering the look on Sams face - then Dean...laying there at the end so devasted

well thats all... and next week is the season finale. I havent seen any spoilers but I have a bad feeling that Sam is to be used somehow - eaither as the final seal or lucifers vessel - something horrible like that - we all know Ruby isnt good so theres an agenda there you can bet on

and Dean...well hes going to be forced in to....I cant even say it....

Chime in guys...talk about this or the points I have left out - but lets hear it !

I did like Dean more in this episode than the last couple....his instincts were right...it was a trap. He even saved sam which was good to see - I just wish Sam would have taken more from it. But Sam is going steady down that dark path and I dont think any of us can deny now where this is headed. The end was not brotherly in any way ...it seemed cold and distant - Not as cold as the writers throwing in a new Winchester brother and killing him in the same hour [what was the point of that again?]

First theres Ruby : Witch turned demon with a soft spot for the Winchesters. Well, I cant fault her for that. But seriously...is she a good guy or a bad guy? I am leaning toward good. I dont fully understand her motives - I dont know that any of us do, but none the less, shes done more for the boys than anyone else - well, anyone not human that is.

Then you have the Angels.... I like Castiel - I was in awe of the episode that introduced him but as the story progresses, he almost seems to be taking on more human qualities...and now that his "Dogma" buddy has appeared on the scene, its got me asking, "Who are the good guys here?"

All right I know...breaking the seals and allowing Lucifer to come out and play would be ...well, bad...but what part do 'we" humans play in this? Are our souls just fodder to fuel the fight?

I know I am rambling....[I blame my undisciplined thoughts on seeing Dean shirtless-finally...again. and dont get me started on the tears....damn that boy can cry]

• Jensen Ackles is NOT married. He is dating actress, Danneel Harris.
• Jared is (sadly) no longer engaged to Sandra McCoy. As far as anyone knows, he is currently not dating anyone.
• Insults to either Danneel or to Sandy will not be tolerated and will only make you seem like a jealous fangirl.
• We ask that anyone wishing to discuss their personal lives do so in a respectful manner. Unsubstantiated rumors about the boys, their personal lives, families, girlfriends, etc, are not welcome here. This is not open for debate.
• Who's Hotter Polls and threads will be removed from the forum. Period. We all know Dean's the hot one and Sam's the smart one. (Just ask Dean. He'll tell you.)
• Spoilers are only allowed in the Spoiler Forum.
• Wincest is strictly NOT permitted on this forum. Slash of any kind is also NOT permitted. There are other sites that welcome this, many on Livejournal. Please go there if you feel the need to post this type of content.

Dean, Sam, John, Jo, Missouri, Ruby (and others) have nothing but respect for the characters from Supernatural, the actors who portray them on the show, and the show's creator, Eric Kripke.
